Of Mice and Men

Don't people like mice? I mean, I bring one home as present and get told to take it out. Fine I think, not up to scratch. Bit offended but I decide to show them what I can do. So I bring home another. Same thing happens. This is really demanding. So a little while later I find a third mouse, and play with it a bit to show how passive I've gotten it, how nice it is to play with. Still Ian just picks it up and carefully puts it outside. Well, that is a challenge. Finally I found a lovely mouse. I brought it in and killed it for them and everything. Still it just gets chucked out (needn't think I'm going to find it to eat, not fresh anymore). I mean, is it me? Have I lost my mice choosing touch? Or do people not want them for some reason?
